Talawa starts its first local introductory writers' group for Black writers who are from Croydon, or who live there now. And best of all it's free to take part.

What it is
Working with an exciting playwright within the industry, this introductory writers' group could be the place for you to take your ideas or stories to the next stage of development.
Weekly classes will give you the space to learn tools, unpick structure, character and dialogue and gain an understanding of the playwriting process.

Send us 3 - 5 pages as an example your writing.

When and how it takes place
The Talawa Introductory Writers' Group runs from January 6 – March 31 2022 for 10 weeks, every Thursday evening, 6:30pm – 8:30pm (venue and format TBC closer to the time).
