Marketing and Communications Assistant

Talawa are looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join their Marketing Department team. Your role as our Marketing and Communications Assistant will support the Marketing and Communications Manager in leading Talawa’s exciting audience-facing operations, including marketing, press, social media, and audience development strategies.

You will be part of a small and dynamic team, supporting on Talawa’s communications strategies to ensure all its communities understand and promote Talawa’s purpose and programming. 

In September 2019 Talawa moved to its new offices and a 200 seat theatre space as part of the redevelopment of Fairfield Halls in Croydon’s new Cultural Quarter where we are delighted to be a resident company. Talawa has an established track record of producing quality work which shines a spotlight on Black talent, creating theatre for diverse audiences across the country. Mounting more than fifty productions over our 36-year history, we are the only Black British theatre company that presents the traditional canon of British theatre alongside international work and new plays.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the 2023 season is underway and supporting the team in the lead up to 2024 and beyond. Talawa Theatre Company is a resident company in Fairfield Halls in Croydon, so you also have the exciting opportunity to join our team during Croydon's year as the London Borough of Culture.
