MAKE with Talawa & Graeae
Are you a Black D/deaf and/or disabled playwright, actor, theatre maker, director, dancer, artist, live artist, or designer?
MAKE with Talawa & Graeae. We are running a series of workshops for Black D/deaf and/or disabled artists who want to grow their skills, and collaborate with their peers. The workshops started with an opportunity to meet the Artistic Directors of Talawa and Graeae earlier in 2018, and now shift into new areas.
Come ready to meet, play and work with other artists ...
You will develop new skills and MAKE work over a series of sessions led by artists, including Matilda Ibini and Amit Sharma.
Saturday 7 April & 14 April
Saturday 21 April & 28 April
Saturday 19 May & 26 May
We encourage you to come to all sessions, but it’s fine to drop in.
These workshops are designed for Black D/deaf and/or disabled artists who are passionate about a career in the theatre industry.
To sign up for any of the above activities please call 0207 251 8988 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your place.
Workshops will take place at Graeae in Hoxton, East London. The Graeae building is fully accessible and BSL interpreters and access support workers across all stages of the programme are available upon request.
Access Audit Forms will be sent in advance to collect details of access requirements.
We are offering travel bursaries to those who have travel restrictions. We will endeavour to support as many artists as possible on a case-by-case basis.
