Talawa's vision is for a theatre industry which is diverse and representative of the UK’s Black population.   We are increasingly focusing on developing new writers, directors, stage managers, technical talent, designers, and the creative leaders of tomorrow.

    Talawa Theatre Company is a Registered Charity and Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation which provides ground-breaking opportunities for Black talent onstage and off-stage.

    Taking inspiration from our past, we are re-focusing on developing new writers, directors, stage managers, technical talent, designers, and the creative leaders of tomorrow.

    Being a part of Talawa, has meant that I have a place in the industry that feels like "home" … Talawa look for us, they seek us out and take the time and care needed to build us up in all the ways that truly matter.
