Zebra Crossing 2

Zebra Crossing 2

a season of eight new shows by black performers, writers, directors, poets and artists

Zebra Crossing 2 consists of eight different shows which play in rotation over three nights called First Zebra, Second Zebra and Third Zebra. Each evening has its own special flavour and will surprise in different ways. Zebra Crossing 2 mixes established talent with new faces in a programme of work that ranges from Billie Holliday to The Windrush, from coffin making to calypso. Actor Michael Buffong (The Posse) makes his directorial debut as does Ben Thomas (who recently played the lead role in our production of Othello) and Paul J Medford (This Life, Eastenders).

The acting company includes familiar faces Syan Blake (Frankie in Eastenders) Angela Wynter, David Carr and the crowned Queen of Soul Sharon D Clarke (currently starring in the West End smash hit Rent), who are joined by the ever intriguing Valerie Mason-John (aka Queenie), Cornell John, popular calypsonian Alexander D Great, Anthony Lennon and Warren Wills.
