The Crucible TYPT:07

Details

The Crucible

Written by Arthur Miller
Adapted by Carol Russell
Directed by Thierry Lawson

Talawa Young People’s Theatre 2007 is an amateur production presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd.

Overview

Who is responsible for spreading fear: the terrorists or those who hunt them? Set in the terrifying true-to-life witch hunts of 17th century America, The Crucible draws comparisons with the Communist ‘witch hunts’ of Arthur Miller’s own period. In 2007, with heightened security measures unsettling the western world, TYPT’s adaptation of the classic play promises to touch a nerve with modern Britain.
