KRUNCH
National Arts Festival
Grahamstown, South Africa
26 - 28 June 2010

Talawa is delighted to be taking KRUNCH to South Africa this summer.
The National Arts Festival features hundreds of productions, including national, continental and world premieres in theatre, dance, music and visual arts. It's a wonderful festival filled with amazing sights and sounds and brimming with creative spirit. Performing KRUNCH at the festival presents a remarkable, once in a lifetime opportunity for the participants of Talawa Young People's Theatre (TYPT).

KRUNCH was created by the participants of TYPT:09. It is a refreshingly creative, thought-provoking and entertaining expression of this generation's reflections on Black identity in the UK. Combining music, dance, film and spoken word, it was originally directed by Amani Naphtali (Ragamuffin) and features a live set by DJ Matman.

To follow the TYPT participants as they rehearse in London prior to their trip to South Africa, and to hear about their experiences whilst they are in Grahamstown, please visit the Talawa blog.
