Roxan Kamali-Sarvestani – Community Engagement Producer
For more than 15 years, Roxan has worked across the arts education field as a Creative Learning Project Manager and an Applied Theatre Facilitator, specialising in working with young people and those with additional needs.
Roxan started her career working for a wide range of organisations as a theatre facilitator for Halfmoon Theatre, London Bubble and Eastside Educational Trust. She then went on to develop her passion for producing shows, festivals and projects with emerging artists while working at Boundless Theatre, Kiln Theatre, The Ambassadors Theatre Group, and Hoxton Hall Theatre.
Roxan was very proud to be the Artistic Director and CEO of the East End Shed, an inclusive theatre company for young people, for over 3 years; having previously worked for Haringey Shed and Peckham Shed.
Working inclusively and providing access to the arts continues to be at the core of all her work.
As a proud lifelong Croydon native, Roxan couldn’t be happier to be working in her own community and beyond with Talawa Theatre Company.
