Introduction
Talawa Young People's Theatre is our annual summer school for budding actors, designers, stage managers, workshop leaders and technicians. It is a remarkable opportunity to work with Britain's foremost Black led theatre company. And it's FREE!
If you are keen to work in theatre and to move it in fresh and exciting ways, read on. Talawa is looking for creative and committed young people to take part in TYPT:10 for four intensive weeks 26th July - 23rd August.
During the summer school you will work with leading theatre practitioners and create a piece of theatre.
This year, for the first time, TYPT participants will be working with the collections of the Atlantic Worlds Gallery at the National Maritime Museum. The summer school will culminate with performances at the National Maritime Museum on Slavery Remembrance Day, 23rd August.
