Girls on Radio 4

Theresa Ikoko is an ward-winning writer, Talawa Writers' Programme writer, and long-time Talawa Theatre Company collaborator.   Theresa is bringing her play GIRLS to BBC Radio 4, Friday 14th July at 2.15pm in a special adaptation for radio, and read by a cast chosen for the broadcast.

  • Theresa Ikoko won the Alfred Fagon Award in 2015 and was joint winner of the George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright in 2016. She studied psychology and has a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Theresa has had a variety of roles in prisons, secure settings and social inclusion/community engagement projects and now works in the area of gangs and serious youth violence.
